Flight
The song "Flight" is the title track of my newest EP. Fun fact: I actually produced the instrumental on a plane! I initially titled it "Flight" simply because I was on a plane ride, but I really liked the title and wanted to build lyrics on it. Since this is such an upbeat and playful instrumental, I wanted the lyrics to match that. I wanted to convey the message that we can cast all of our cares on God instead of letting them down. Overall, the summary of this song is that you should let go of your burdens and feel as light as a feather; almost light enough to fly.
Show me is a cry out to God; begging Him to let me know that my faith isn't in vain. It's hard sometimes to trust when you can't see God, but He's always there.
Nothing is a carefree song addressing people that may have something negative to say about me in any way. I have one purpose on this Earth, which is to spread God's Word.
